Handwoven cloth? Yes, it's Tenun!

Bali's handweavers still produce beautiful traditional and non traditional motifs using the same methods of handweaving. The cloth is called 'Tenun'.

Fibers used include cotton, rayon and silk and in songket, gold and silver threads/wires.

The main areas to find the weavers are in villages near Gianyar, and Selat near Klungkung.

This page will include some examples of fine tenuns as soon as I can manage it!
